It is a short and manageable trek, ideal for those with limited time but a strong desire to witness the awe-inspiring snow-capped mountains. Ghorepani Poonhill Trek itinerary:

Day 1 – Pokhara-Ulleri

We embarked on our trek after completing the necessary paperwork at the Birethani checkpoint, following a 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara. After a 3-hour hike, we reached Tikhe Dhunga where we stopped for lunch. Continuing our journey, we hiked for 2 hours to reach Ulleri, where we took a well-deserved rest.

Day 2 – Ulleri-Ghorepani

On the second day of our trek, we aim to start our journey at 8 am following breakfast. We will hike for approximately 4 hours and have lunch at Ghorepani, where we will spend the night.

Day 3 – Ghorepani-Poonhill-Tadapani

We will begin our hike to Poonhill early in morning, waking up at 4 am, to witness the breathtaking panoramic sunrise over Mt. Macchapucchre, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, and Mt. Manaslu. After enjoying tea or coffee, we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then, we will continue our journey towards Tadapani, trekking  approximately 5 hours, where we will take a rest.

Day 4 – Tadapani-Ghandruk

Following breakfast, we will commence our descent to Ghandruk, hiking downhill for approximately 2 hours. Once we reach there, we will spend around half an hour exploring the museums and cultural house.

Day 5 – Ghandruk-Pokhara

On the final day of the trek, after breakfast, we will depart from Ghandruk bus station and take a drive to Pokhara. It will take approximately 4 hours to reach the city of lakes, Pokhara.
