Description
North Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary:
North Annapurna Base Camp Trek, also known as the Maurice Herzog Trail, is a hidden gem within the Annapurna Circuit. This lesser-known route offers a pristine trekking experience, making it a perfect alternative for adventurers seeking quieter trails in the Annapurna region. The trail was rediscovered in 2019 by the Annapurna Rural Municipality (ARM) group, adding to the array of trekking options in Nepal. Efforts are underway by various organizations, including the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), local communities, and the Ministry of Tourism, to promote this historic trail among travel agencies, trekking groups, and individual explorers. For those interested, detailed information about the trek can be found in the North Annapurna Base Camp Trek itinerary.
